THE SUNDAY SCHOOL

Study to show thyself approved unto God  — II Timothy 2:15 KJV

At First Baptist Church of Marshall Heights, we believe the Sunday School ministry is a vital part of our fellowship. It is uniquely equipped to cater to the individual needs of our congregation — assisting them in growth, building lasting friendships and supporting one another in prayer.

First Baptist has organized our Sunday School ministry with one primary objective. That objective is to glorify the Lord. We have identified three main purposes of the Sunday School and have learned that when these purposes are fulfilled the Lord is truly glorified.

  • We want to reach others with the Gospel through the work of the Sunday School. Reaching out into the community at large and bringing them to a vibrant relationship  with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We desire to teach  the men, women, and children in our care the life-changing principles of  God’s Word. Our goal is to equip them through careful study and practical,    real-life application of the Bible.

As we “do life together,” we seek to minister to one another, sharing with, encouraging, and loving one another as Jesus loves and cares for us.

We are learning the powerful impact of developing a reaching, teaching, and ministering Sunday School ministry. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery.

Time of Sunday School:  Each Sunday – 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
